Travel System
We requested this system for the arrival of our first daughter, Grace, and received it as a baby shower gift. The facet seems to work well for a girl as the blue is more of a turquoise color than a definitive blue (we'd like to keep it for our future children, so we picked the most gender neutral color). Also, my husband said the extra base that is ordered separately is easier to install than the one that comes with the system. Here are the pros and cons as I view them:
pros:
-This system is easy to figure out, even for someone as mechanically disinclined as myself
-The wheels have held up against soft dirt, loose rocks, and bumpy asphalt thus far with no problems
-The umbrella on the seat can be moved from up by the head to down by the feet, which is a great help with the sun (the umbrella on the stroller does not do this)
-The seat fits in most shopping carts, and even "locks" onto some carts as it would in the car seat base

Bought for my daughter
Bought it before she was born and she is now 9 months old. It has held up pretty well and she will outgrow the height of the chair before the weight, lol. The seat and base are very easy to install and the stroller is easy to operate. I would recommend buying the cushioned strap covers from Walmart or where ever as the harness can rub the side of the neck a bit. It is a little on the heavy side and the stroller is wide when rolling through door ways and narrow crowded spaces, but the steering is very easy and smooth. I get a lot of compliments on the color and design. The materials are sturdy and solid.
I have not found a way to remove the stroller tray and the leg clearance is small so as she grows we will need to buy another stroller probably as her legs won't fit even though she is long and lanky and will not have out grown the weight rating.
One problem we had with this item is the from wheel on the stroller fell off when the pin popped out. Couldn't find it...
Very sturdy stroller with a highly rated car seat!!
The car seat itself has been rated best buy by Consumer Reports. It is HUGE!! It barely fitted into my BMW 528i. Had to push the passenger seat all the way to the front most position, and the seatback upright in order to fit. The base does not have any kind of belt locking mechanism, so it takes a bit more effort to secure it with seatbelts. That might be the reason it cannot be correctly installed in the middle seat. With the size of the car seat, you would want to keep it at the outboard position anyways, so that you could carry it out easier.
The stroller is very well built, very sturdy, and the large wheels make it a comfortable ride. Folding is easily done by one hand, and could stand while folded. However, given the weight, I cannot lift it into the trunk with one hand.
Overall great buy, the stroller and car seat costs way more than getting it as a system, and they fit perfect together!
